SUBJECT VERB AGREEMENT WITH EXAMPLE

Subject-verb agreement adalah persesuaian antara verb (kata kerja) dengan subject kalimat dalam hal number, yaitu: singular (tunggal) atau plural (jamak). Secara umum subject verb agreement adalah Agreement berarti kesesuaian.  Sedangkan Subject Verb Agreement adalah kesesuaian antara subjek dengan kata kerja dalam sebuah kalimat. Dan ada pula pada plural verb tanpa ditambahkan akhiran s/es.

Contoh simple:

The cat eats fish. The cats eat fish.

cat = singular subject

eats = singular verb

cats = plural subject

eat = plural verb

Contoh kalimat:

-The sun rises (singular subject, singular verb)

-The stars shine bright (plural subject, plural verb)

dan kita bisa gunakan dengan subject nama, misal:

-Rio rarely eats rice

Contoh Lain Kalimat Subject Verb Agreement:

-He is working (dia sedang bekerja)

-I do submit the task (saya harus mengirimkan tugas tersebut)

-The cat was sleeping (kucing sedang membakar jagung)
